The US Environmental Protection Agency and the Oregon Drinking Water Association have mandated that certain water providers must compile an inventory of all water service lines within their district(s). This inventory includes both public and private lines.
Regulating agencies have mandated this inventory to better identify and move toward the removal of potentially dangerous water distribution lines from drinking water systems.
Fairview Water District is asking for your assistance in identifying thetype of water lines that you have on your side of the water meter. An explanatory form, as well as a survey sheet has been delivered to your service address. Click the links below to see these forms.

Yes. This information must be submitted to the state of Oregon and the EPA. You will have received an informational pamphlet from us as well as a survey form. Please complete the survey and drop it off at the district office by November 30, 2024.

WATER UTILITY WORKER LEVEL 1
Fairview Water District accepting applications from individuals interested in joining our team as a Water Utility Worker 1. Applicants must have the ability to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks that relate to operating and maintaining a public water system. Assigned duties include reading and changing out water meters, maintaining and repairing pumps, valves, water lines, hydrants, and other duties as assigned. All duties will be performed under the supervision of district management. can be physically demanding at times. Applicants must have a valid Oregon driver’s license and pass a pre-employment background check. Salaried pay at $20.00 - $25.00/hr., dependent upon experience, with medical, dental & vision insurance benefits provided and PERS retirement benefits after 6 months of employment. Staff enjoy paid holidays and a Monday through Friday work schedule with occasional after-hours callouts. This position will remain open until filled.
